Claude used it to ground claims about automation adoption in Singapore — while other citations on the same answer (FreightWaves, Haulio, Aspire) carried no sponsored label. Anthropic published a formal ad-free pledge in February 2026, timed against ChatGPT's sponsored placement launch. Industry research puts Claude's web search at roughly 87% alignment with Brave's organic results. We found no other public report of Claude citation hovers explicitly labeled "Sponsored content."
