Gujarat has become Europe of India in 2020 from downtrodden state of 1995

VADODARA, India - June 23, 2026 - PRLog -- Gujarat in 2020 is like Europe of India and it is complete shift from year 1990. Perhaps, when we see at progress of India – we consider that all states have progressed and grown in the last 30 years.

Most of the states still have unresolved Debt to GDP ratio, poverty rates at par with 1947, agrarian economy which has lots of landless farmers, no infrastructure and bigger demographic concerns.

Gujarat which had debt to GDP ratio of 32% has seen reduction to 17%. Gujarat which has seen disasters and shocks consistently has absorbed all of them. From pain-led earthquakes that led to loss of infrastructure and loss of lives to various panic attacks on biggest spiritual places – Gujarat has seen severe disasters which have not happened in other states in that higher frequency.

Still Gujarat has managed to grow. From Education to Infrastructure, From Finance to Management, From MSMEs to Innovation – Gujarat has seen all round growth. Its connectivity in the terms of rail, roads and airports is stupendous and there is immense growth in the terms of innovation centres in Gujarat.

However, Gujarat stands out for some of its regime enactments which are unique. From complete eradication of addictive substances and alcohol, Gujarat was one of the first states to have such high enactments. In Gujarat, women can roam safe at 02:00 a.m. in night and also watch movies. While this state has not been achieved in other areas yet, Gujarat is on the consistent path of progress. One gets to see the growth of Gujarat when metrices and grass-root level implementations are observed. An old lady above 55 years is assured to be relieved with healthcare surgery if she has any ailments of heart-attack of paralysis under Ayushman Bharat in Gujarat for negligible cost. This is ongoing implementation at grass-roots since last 15 years. While some states are not initiating this scheme, Gujarat deploys massive grass-root implementation, has exceptional infrastructure and lower debt to gdp ratio. Albeit, Gujarat is export surplus and ranks in top 5 states of India.

The youth is educated enough that no one can misguide, it is aspirational enough to bring welfare to everyone and finally it is multi-prong to showcase success in the front of global diaspora while being light-hearted and seamlessly organic.

This is clear difference from the state of 1990. Most of the ailments like Lesser Infrastructural growth, lesser provision of education, women safety, women aristocracies and violence, addiction, no presence of renewables, no implementation of welfare schemes have been removed and Gujarat has now become Europe of India. Gujarat of 2020 is not similar to Gujarat of 1990 and there is a big difference.
