Author Launches "Authors Helping Authors" Network to Help Writers Gain Early Book Reviews

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - June 23, 2026 - PRLog -- One of the hardest parts of publishing a book is not writing it—it is getting those first reviews.

Readers often look at reviews before deciding whether to buy, yet many authors struggle to gain enough early visibility for their books to be discovered.

Author and publisher Bruce Goldwell, with more than 500 published books across multiple genres, believes there is a better way.

Goldwell has launched the Authors Helping Authors network—a Facebook community designed to help authors connect, exchange visibility, and encourage honest reviews through structured book sharing.

Unlike traditional promotion groups focused only on links and announcements, the community encourages authors to upload PDF review samples (3 chapters or more recommended) into the group FILES section so other authors can actually experience the writing before deciding whether to review.

Authors are encouraged to:

• Upload a PDF sample of their book to FILES
• Name the PDF using the book title
• Include an Amazon link inside the PDF
• Add two short paragraphs explaining the book
• Leave honest reviews when they discover books they enjoy

After reviewing, members return to the DISCUSSIONS area and notify authors that a review has been posted—creating a cycle of support and discovery.

"Authors spend months or years creating books," said Goldwell. "Sometimes what they need is not more advertising—they need people willing to open the first chapter and give the work a chance."
