Friends of the Forest Preserves Hosts Summer Solstice Celebration at Beaubien Woods

CHICAGO - June 21, 2026 - PRLog -- CHICAGO — Friends of the Forest Preserves (FOTFP) and Light of Loving Kindness (LOLK) will host a Summer Solstice event at Beaubien Woods on Sunday, June 21, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Held on the longest day of the year, this free public gathering invites participants to slow down, connect with nature and spend time together outdoors. The event also offers families a unique way to celebrate Father's Day while enjoying one of Cook County's treasured forest preserves.

Participants will gather for an afternoon of reflection, restoration, food and community care that explores the connections between personal wellbeing, caring for others and stewardship of the natural environment.
