Saskia Kanne promotes animal welfare advocacy with the success of brand 'Katzenmuddi'

BAD KREUZNACH, Germany - June 18, 2026 - PRLog -- Saskia Kanne, a German entrepreneur, commercial designer, and specialized pet welfare writer, continues to make a significant impact in the digital lifestyle and pet care sector. As the co-founder and creative director of Katzenmuddi, an independent e-commerce brand and educational platform, Kanne has successfully bridged the gap between artisan retail and community-driven domestic feline education.

Biography and Professional Journey

Born on January 11, 1988, Saskia Kanne's professional trajectory began with a strong academic foundation in communication sciences. She trained as a marketing communications clerk and studied Media Management at the RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany. During her academic tenure in 2014, Kanne notably contributed to scholarly research on media convergence under the supervision of Professor Dr. Alexander Moutchnik.

Kanne's career experienced a profound pivot in 2020, catalyzed by her personal dedication to international animal welfare. That year, she adopted two rescue cats—Mish, who is deaf, and Tutt—from a Bulgarian animal rescue organization. Identifying a distinct market niche for relatable, modern pet merchandise and practical care education, Kanne co-founded KE Business GbR alongside Sebastian Eisenhauer, leading to the launch of the Katzenmuddi enterprise (a colloquial term translating roughly to "Cat Mom").

Katzenmuddi and Pet Welfare Advocacy

Operating out of Bad Kreuznach, Rhineland-Palatinate, Kanne acts as the principal proprietor, lead illustrator, and overarching operations manager for her brand—a diverse set of responsibilities she colloquially describes as "Mädchen für alles" (jack-of-all-trades). As the sole graphic designer, she conceptualizes and illustrates a wide array of specialized domestic lifestyle goods. Her boutique features bespoke greeting cards, organizational planners, botanical art prints, and ceramic mugs adorned with humorous, pet-centric aphorisms designed specifically for cat lovers.

Beyond her e-commerce endeavors, Kanne serves as the principal author and editorial director of the Katzenmuddi weblog. Utilizing her background in media, she has cultivated a comprehensive portal designed to assist domestic pet owners. Her literary output consists of extensively researched guides addressing feline behavioral science, pet-safe botany, and the environmental acclimatization of rescue animals.

Kanne actively champions the adoption of international rescue animals and facilitates widespread discussions on domestic feline welfare. She maintains a highly synchronized digital footprint across platforms such as Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Xing, and Petmos, solidifying her status as a respected voice within the European pet care community.
