Orbitvu launches Alphashot XL G2 MDC: photos, dimensions, and OCR captured in one process

The system's core function is complete product data capture in one cycle. A laser measurement system physically measures the product, and a digital scale weighs it. AI OCR reads barcodes, labels, and compliance data directly from the product or its packaging and structures them as metadata, ready to import into ERP, PIM, or marketplace channels. All data leaves the station as a complete product record.

Until now, capturing basic product data required three separate stations: photography, measurement, and manual data entry. Alphashot XL G2 MDC runs all steps in one cycle.

The system is built for footwear, consumer electronics, tools, cosmetics, automotive parts, and other products up to 60 × 40 × 70 cm (W × D × H) and up to 25 kg. Average time per product is a few minutes, with a throughput of up to 250 products per day.

Measurement and weighing during the session

Two independent lasers measure the product's length, width, and height while the photo session runs. The motorized 75 cm turntable doubles as a scale and allows to position the product automatically.

Studio lighting built into an automated process

Alphashot XL G2 MDC delivers uncompromising image quality through intelligent 360° lighting around the product. The system is equipped with 170 individually controlled LED panels. AI Photo Assistant recognises the product type and sets the lighting configuration automatically, with no manual adjustment between products. Every product is photographed under repeatable, calibrated conditions - which translates into studio-grade image quality.

AI as intelligent support for creating real content

Unlike typical AI tools that work on images after they are taken, Alphashot XL G2 MDC applies AI during the photo cycle - lighting is configured automatically before exposure. This keeps the images true to the product as photographed. The AI OCR used for intelligent label scanning extracts and structures the specific information. The operator verifies data quality and reliability in real time.
