![]() Century Cruises Unveils 2026–2027 Global Itineraries at ITB ChinaBy: Century Cruises As the first Chinese cruise brand to operate across three of the world's most iconic river systems—the Yangtze in China, the Danube and Rhine in Europe, and the Nile in Egypt—Century Cruises showcased its expanded fleet, global route network, and signature "Eastern Elegance" luxury service standard, marking a major milestone in its international growth strategy. At the centre of the announcement was the 2027 Global Itinerary Launch, presenting a comprehensive annual sailing portfolio spanning three river systems and four core routes, with bookings now open worldwide. This marks the first time a Chinese cruise line has unveiled a full global sailing schedule at ITB China. "Century Cruises has led river cruising for over 30 years," said Mr. Tony Tang, Vice President of Gaund Holding Group. "Our goal is to deliver immersive travel experiences that combine breathtaking river landscapes with authentic local culture, always centred on human connection. 2026 marks our global expansion year as we bring our 'Eastern Hospitality' to Europe and Egypt, while sharing refined 'Eastern Elegance' with international guests." A key highlight was the introduction of Century Star, the company's European flagship vessel. Making its maiden voyage in August, the hybrid-powered river ship blends Eastern aesthetics with European classical design, creating a "floating Eastern gallery." With 87 cabins for 174 guests, including panoramic suites, the ship offers bilingual service, Chinese and Western cuisine, cultural programming, and curated wellness experiences. Three European itineraries were announced: the Blue Danube (Budapest–Passau) On the Yangtze, Century Cruises will enhance its signature Three Gorges and Panorama itineraries with longer shore excursions, new cultural programming, and expanded capacity. A new "Yangtze Culture Master Lecture Series" will deepen guests' understanding of Chinese heritage. In Egypt, the all-suite vessel M/S Terramar will lead Nile operations in 2027 with the "Egyptian Nile Civilization Panorama" itinerary. The company also plans to build 5–10 next-generation hybrid Nile vessels, following government approval, aiming to elevate regional cruise standards through a "standards first" approach. With 30 years of expertise on the Yangtze, Century Cruises continues to position itself as a global leader in premium river travel. Its expansion reflects a broader mission: to transform river cruising from sightseeing into immersive cultural exchange. End
