Power Swords Take The Field: He-man And Skeletor Arrive On Espn's Pti Set

WASHINGTON - May 29, 2026 - PRLog -- For more than two decades, Tony Kornheiser and Michael Wilbon have spent their afternoons doing battle on ESPN's legendary Pardon the Interruption (PTI), debating everything from championship dynasties  to bad coaching decisions and questionable trades.

Now, however, a far more important question has emerged:

Which host gets He-Man's sword?

Sharp-eyed viewers of PTI may have noticed a pair of iconic Masters of the Universe swords displayed on the show's set. Produced by Factory Entertainment, the 34-inch replica swords include the heroic silver Power Sword wielded by He-Man and the sinister purple Havoc Staff-inspired sword associated with Skeletor's forces.

The swords are made from soft foam and plastic materials and were designed for LARP (Live Action Role-Play), cosplay, conventions, and fans who have spent decades practicing the phrase, "By the Power of Grayskull!"

Naturally, sports fans have begun speculating.

Would Kornheiser claim the silver sword and defend the honor of Eternia with his trademark wit and occasional exasperation? Or would Wilbon seize the Power Sword and bring the same confidence he brings to every debate involving basketball?

Perhaps the more intriguing question is who would end up with Skeletor's purple blade.

After all, every great rivalry needs a villain.

As for who would win a hypothetical sword duel between the two ESPN icons?

That's impossible to say.

One could argue experience, strategy, and decades of debate preparation would give either man an advantage.

One could also point out that in the Masters of the Universe universe, the Power Sword belongs to He-Man, and traditionally, good does tend to prevail over evil.

We'll leave the rest to the viewers.

"HE-MAN? That character was not only part of our childhoods, but more importantly a staple in the pop-culture entertainment genre for years! Movies, comics, animated cartoons, toy lines... this guy had it all — including super-cool swords, which YOU can now own through Factory Entertainment. Seriously, how COOL is THAT??"

Factory Entertainment's officially licensed Masters of the Universe Power Sword replica measures approximately 34 inches in length and is constructed from soft foam and plastic materials, making it ideal for cosplay, live-action role-play, conventions, fan events, and safe heroic posing. The replica captures the look of the legendary weapon carried by He-Man in his battle against Skeletor and the forces of evil.
