HALIFAX, Nova Scotia - May 28, 2026 - PRLog -- Nova Graphene is pleased to confirm a new research and development collaboration with Fairbanks Morse Defense (USA), with 3rd-party research and testing support from Ontario Tech University, supporting the continued advancement of CarbonEra™ graphene-enhanced grease technologies for marine, Arctic, and offshore industrial applications.

The collaboration is being carried out through Canada's Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) program in conjunction with Seaspan Shipyards in North Vancouver.

The initiative will expand Nova Graphene's ongoing work in the development of next-generation graphene-enhanced lubricants engineered for demanding operational environments, including marine systems, Arctic conditions, and offshore wind turbine applications where durability, performance stability, and environmental resilience are critical.

The project also highlights the role of Seaspan's NSS-related industrial benefits activities in supporting Canadian research, innovation, and commercialization opportunities connected to long-term shipbuilding and marine industrial development in Canada.

"This collaboration reflects growing interest in advanced Canadian materials technologies capable of addressing harsh operating environments and evolving industrial requirements," said Paul Beasant, CEO of Nova Graphene. "Working with Fairbanks Morse Defense through the ITB framework, and in conjunction with Seaspan, allows us to continue advancing CarbonEra™ graphene-enhanced grease technologies for applications where reliability and long-term performance are essential."

Nova Graphene continues to expand the CarbonEra™ platform across multiple industrial sectors, with ongoing work focused on coatings, lubricants, composites, and advanced performance materials.

Canada's Industrial and Technological Benefits program supports innovation and economic growth by encouraging industrial collaboration, research partnerships, and technology development connected to major procurement and shipbuilding initiatives.
