Zyterra Deploys VerdantIQ to Expand Agricultural Intelligence Access Across Zimbabwe

HARARE, Zimbabwe - May 21, 2026 - PRLog -- Zyterra, a Zimbabwean agricultural technology and infrastructure company, today announced the production deployment of VerdantIQ, its agricultural intelligence platform designed to help smallholder farmers make better farming decisions through data, localized advisory services, and digital coordination tools.

Current platform capabilities include:

• AI-powered agronomic support through "Mudhumeni Hungwe," a multilingual digital agronomist available in English and local languages.
• Crop health monitoring using satellite imagery and vegetation analysis.
• Localized weather forecasting and seasonal farming alerts.
• Market intelligence and commodity price tracking.
• Livestock and farm operations management tools.
• WhatsApp-based farmer support designed for low-friction accessibility.

The platform is designed to support smallholder farmers, agribusinesses, NGOs, development programs, and government stakeholders seeking improved visibility into agricultural production and field operations.

According to Zyterra, the broader objective is to reduce inefficiencies that limit productivity, market access, and decision-making across African agriculture.
