Grace Cathedral Unveils Stunning Renovation of Historic Edifice with Grand Opening CelebrationElegant Transformation Honors Legacy of Bishop Jerome S. Wilcox While Expanding Opportunities for the Trenton Community
By: Anointed Advertising, LLC Known for its vibrant worship, compassionate outreach, and welcoming atmosphere, Grace Cathedral has long stood as one of Trenton's most prominent churches. Its state-of-the- Now, under the humble and visionary leadership of Pastor Kyle L. Sanders, the church is entering an exciting new chapter. Over the last six months, Pastor Sanders led an extensive redesign and renovation of the church's original building — a cherished structure that once housed the sanctuary, offices, fellowship hall, and kitchen. The building was named in honor of Mother Shirley V. Echols of Waycross, GA, the mother of the late and highly respected Bishop Jerome S. Wilcox. While the renovated space proudly preserves its historic name and spiritual significance, the transformation is remarkable. The updated edifice showcases an elegant modern aesthetic featuring marble flooring and countertops, opulent chandeliers, decorative columns, gold-and-cream seating, premium cabinetry, and beautifully redesigned gathering spaces that create a bright, welcoming atmosphere. https://youtu.be/ "Bishop would be so proud," Pastor Sanders reflected. "He instilled in me the importance of serving the people and maintaining God's house with excellence. Because he stewarded the church's resources wisely over the years, we are now able to continue building for future generations." The official ribbon-cutting ceremony and grand opening takes place June 6 and is open to the public. Guests will enjoy guided tours of the newly renovated facility, hors d'oeuvres, fellowship, and an opportunity to experience the breathtaking transformation firsthand. Once officially opened, the versatile space will become available for community rentals and special events, including weddings, banquets, concerts, prayer breakfasts, corporate gatherings, conventions, church services, and celebrations of all kinds. Beyond its beautiful facilities, Grace Cathedral remains committed to serving the surrounding community. The church is especially known for its monthly food pantry, which is open to all without restriction, as well as its uplifting weekly services centered on faith, encouragement, and God's love. Under Pastor Sanders' leadership, the ministry has welcomed more than 100 new members over the past two years — a reflection of the church's continued growth and meaningful impact throughout the region. Conveniently located near major highways and thoroughfares leading into Trenton, Grace Cathedral continues to be both an accessible resource and a spiritual home for countless families across New Jersey.
