BENGALURU, India - May 16, 2026 - PRLog -- The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) is set to announce the KCET Result 2026 in the last week of May 2026, with several sources pointing to around May 24, 2026 as the likely release date — consistent with the 2025 timeline. Students who appeared in the Karnataka Common Entrance Test can check their results on the official KEA portals: cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea, kea.kar.nic.in, and karresults.nic.in.

What the KCET 2026 Scorecard Will Include

The KCET 2026 result scorecard will display:
  • Candidate's name and registration number
  • Subject-wise marks (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology)
  • Total score and overall rank
  • Category rank and qualifying status
  • Class 12 (QE) scores used for rank calculation

How to Check KCET Result 2026
  1. Visit cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea

  3. Enter your registration number and the first four characters of your name (or date of birth)

How KCET Rank is Calculated

KCET 2026 ranks are calculated on a 50:50 weightage basis — 50% from CET exam marks and 50% from Class 12 board exam marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (for engineering). A score of 170+ is typically needed for a rank under 1,000, while 125–145 marks usually places candidates between ranks 1,000–5,000.

What Comes After the Result

Candidates who qualify will be eligible for KCET 2026 Counselling (https://www.getmycollege.com/colleges/bangalore/article/k...), expected to begin in July 2026. The process involves online registration, choice filling and locking, and seat allotment across engineering and other professional courses in Karnataka. Three rounds of counselling are expected to be conducted.

Students can challenge their results within three days of declaration. In case of errors in the scorecard, candidates should contact the KEA Helpdesk at 080-23460460 before counselling begins.

About KEA The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) is the official body responsible for conducting entrance examinations for admissions to engineering, pharmacy, and other professional courses in the state of Karnataka.
