Eat My Biscuits Honors Metro Atlanta Teachers

ATLANTA - May 7, 2026 - PRLog -- Vanetta Roy, founder of Eat My Biscuits in East Point and a former special-education teacher of more than 20 years, is giving back to Metro Atlanta educators during Teacher Appreciation Week through a series of community-focused food activations.

The initiative includes catering for staff at Tri-Cities High School, a free Creamy Thigh promotion for teachers on Saturday at Eat My Biscuits, and an additional meal effort on Monday supporting teachers at her daughter's school.

Roy says the appreciation campaign is personal because of her years spent in education before becoming a restaurant owner.

"Teachers give so much of themselves every day, often without enough recognition," said Roy. "As a former educator, I know how demanding the job can be, especially during difficult economic times. This is simply my way of showing love and appreciation to the people shaping our future."
