Protect Yourself and Your Family From This Epidemic

LOS ANGELES - May 2, 2026 - PRLog -- American author, Andrew Lawrence, the author of 20 life improvement books, at age 80, has launched a new book. After two weeks in the hospital for sepsis, he had to then spend 2 months in a transitional nursing care facility before he could go back home. While a bedridden patient in the facility, he was the victim of elder abuse: bedsores, bruises, malnutrition, and neglect. He had his laptop with him and kept a diary of his stay.

"It's my personal story. An actual digital diary; a rare, important documented nonfiction text-and-photo story of institutional elder abuse in America", says the author. "I am using the Elderly Diary to bring attention to elder abuse in today's society. This is a huge issue. It's an epidemic. There are over 60 million people in the U.S. who are over the age of 65 and at risk of elder abuse in transitional care facilities, nursing homes, and even at home under the care of a caretaker."

The diary/book is over 100 pages and contains 50 photos, taken by the author and documenting the author's elder abuse.

The "Elderly Diary" is now a paperback book available on Amazon.com and is also available as a digital download via the website ElderlyDiary.com.
