Flagler OARS & Discover & Recover St. Johns County to Host Annual Peer WorkshopBy: Flagler OARS This peer-centered event brings together individuals in recovery for workshops, presentations, and networking opportunities designed by and for peers. The full-day program emphasizes mutual support, education, and community connection—core values of Flagler OARS and Discover & Recover St. Johns County's mission to serve individuals and families impacted by substance use disorder. "Our Annual Peer Workshop is a celebration of recovery and the power of peer support," said Brock Birtolo, Executive Director of Flagler OARS and Discover & Recover St. Johns County. "This event creates a safe, welcoming space where people can connect, learn from one another, and strengthen their recovery journey." Event attendees will receive continuing education (CEU) credits, complimentary food and beverages, and access to peer-led workshops and presentations. Through compassion, community engagement, and evidence-based programming, Flagler OARS works to create a stigma-free environment that fosters long-term recovery and hope. The organizations currently distribute over 400 boxes of Narcan monthly and provide a variety of recovery support groups.
