The retreat runs June 2–9, 2026, in the picturesque coastal village of Tolo on the Greek Peloponnese, and is open to up to 60 readers. The programme is held under the auspices of the Municipality of Nafplio and the Greek National Tourism Organisation, reflecting the retreat's deep commitment to celebrating Greek culture, heritage, and hospitality at the highest level.

Attendees will enjoy intimate author sessions, a live book signing, open Q&As, and the rare chance to spend a full week in the company of writers behind some of the most gripping fiction of the past decade.

Ruth Ware — author of In a Dark, Dark Wood, The Turn of the Key, and multiple New York Times bestsellers — joins forces with Mark Edwards, whose psychological thrillers have topped Amazon charts worldwide. Together, they bring unrivaled genre expertise to what promises to be a landmark event for thriller readers.

Beyond the literary programming, guests will explore the ancient Theatre of Epidaurus — the best-preserved ancient theatre in Greece — tour the Venetian old town of Nafplio, Greece's first capital, and island-hop to the car-free islands of Hydra and Spetses, where Knives Out was filmed. Chartered transport from Athens, seven nights at the Tolo Hotel, daily buffet breakfast and dinner, and a gift bag of retreat materials are all included.
