About the Record Needle on the Rim is a six-track vocal jazz EP assembled remotely across four countries: Cambodia, Thailand, the United States, and Italy. It was produced while the Thailand-Cambodia border remained physically closed throughout the 2025-2026 recording period. It is the first volume of Camerado's Shared Frequency Initiative (SFI), an ongoing effort to synchronize artistic, social, and scientific practitioners across geopolitical divides, border closures, and areas of diplomatic tension. The record was mixed and mastered in Phnom Penh before being distributed to all major streaming platforms worldwide.
