About the Author Paul Taylor is a former journalist and nationally recognized expert on demographic and generational trends. He served as Executive Vice President of the Pew Research Center and previously reported for The Washington Post and The Philadelphia Inquirer, covering U.S. presidential campaigns and the end of apartheid in South Africa, including the election of Nelson Mandela. He is the author of This Is Getting Old, The Next America, and See How They Run, and has lectured internationally on generational change. He holds a degree from Yale University and has taught journalism at Princeton University.
