At the core of this initiative is a flagship project framework in the Jewar region, strategically located adjacent to Noida International Airport within the Delhi NCR corridor. The site has been selected based on strong infrastructure fundamentals, including access to high and consistent volumes of municipal waste, proximity to a rapidly expanding aviation hub, and the ability to integrate long-term fuel supply within a growing regional infrastructure ecosystem. CUE's approach focuses on developing integrated, financeable infrastructure. Through a thermochemical conversion pathway, municipal solid waste is processed into synthesis gas via gasification and subsequently upgraded into liquid fuels using Fischer–Tropsch synthesis. This enables the conversion of heterogeneous waste streams into standardized fuel outputs, while reducing landfill dependency and improving resource efficiency across urban systems. Delhi NCR represents a high-priority environment for such infrastructure. The region generates substantial volumes of municipal waste, placing sustained pressure on existing waste management systems. In parallel, aviation capacity expansion is expected to drive long-term demand for sustainable aviation fuel. By linking these dynamics, CUE's model is designed to support improved waste utilization while contributing to the development of a reliable domestic supply of low-carbon aviation fuels. The Jewar initiative is currently progressing through detailed project development phases, with initial operations targeted around 2030. The project is being structured to align with long-term infrastructure investment frameworks, with a focus on technical validation, feedstock security, and scalable deployment. As a flagship development, the Jewar project is intended to serve as a reference model for replication across other urban centers. By demonstrating how waste-to-fuel infrastructure can be implemented at scale, Circular Urban Energy aims to support the emergence of a broader circular energy ecosystem aligned with long-term urban infrastructure and energy transition objectives. https://circularurbanenergy.com/ End
