![]() KR38 Creative Celebrates Successful Closing of Co-Produced NYC Theatrical RunIntroducing a live-mixed headphone format, the production delivered a controlled, immersive experience and featured the return of lighting designer Sam Doty.
The production utilized individual wireless headphones to deliver a fully mixed, real-time audio experience directly to each audience member. A live sound mixer operated throughout the performance, blending microphones and sound elements on the fly, creating a level of precision and intimacy rarely achieved in traditional theater environments. The live headphone mix was engineered by Miah Pafumi, executing real-time audio balancing and transmission for each performance. "This wasn't just a technical experiment, it fundamentally changed how the audience engaged with the piece," said Matthew Solomon, Co-Founder of KR38 Creative. "You could feel the focus in the room shift." The production also marked the return of lighting designer Sam Doty to New York City for a non-touring theatrical engagement for the first time in 13 years. His work drew acclaim for its immersive quality and ability to guide audience attention. Together, the integration of live-mixed headphone audio and immersive lighting design created a fully controlled theatrical environment, blurring the line between traditional stagecraft and experiential performance. KR38 Creative LLC operates at the intersection of theater, film, and immersive entertainment, with projects spanning live productions, streaming content, and large-scale experiential work. Following this milestone, the company is actively expanding this format into future productions and partnerships. For more information, visit http://www.Kr38iv.com or follow @KR38_creative End
