Mustang OL Cooper Clark Receives First D1 Offer From Oklahoma State

OKLAHOMA CITY - April 13, 2026 - PRLog -- Cooper Clark watched Oklahoma State's offensive line run through a full spring practice Thursday afternoon in Stillwater. By the time it was over, he had a scholarship offer in his pocket… he just didn't know it yet.

Clark, a 6-foot-7, 260-pound offensive lineman at Mustang High School and a Class of 2028 prospect, received his first Division I scholarship offer from Oklahoma State after OSU offensive line coach Crill approached him following the practice. Clark had been invited to attend by a member of the recruiting staff. He watched the full session from the sideline, then connected with head coach Morris, who remembered Clark from a winter visit, before finding himself face to face with Crill.

Crill didn't waste time. He shook Clark's hand, told him he was glad he could make it, and got to the point. "He said, 'I want to go ahead and offer you, man,'" Clark said. "I responded with, 'That sounds great.'"

The interest hasn't been limited to Stillwater. Immediately after the offer was announced via Clarks twitter account, OU sent Clark a camp invite, Kansas State coaches reached out, Arkansas' offensive line coach followed him, and Arizona State made contact. Texas Tech, which had previously invited Clark to a junior day that was canceled due to weather, has also re-engaged.

The connection between Crill and Clark goes back further than one spring practice. Crill had been tracking Clark since his time coaching the offensive line at North Texas, when Clark was a freshman. The two had never spoken directly until Thursday, Crill had been communicating through Clark's high school coaches, but he'd seen enough on film to know what he was looking at.

"It's obviously a great feeling," Clark said. "I was so excited. It's my first offer."
