Ian Peterman Mentors "Cultured Care" to 3rd Place at PSU Entrepreneurship 2026 Finals

PORTLAND, Ore. - April 8, 2026 - PRLog -- Ian Peterman, founder of Peterman Design Firm and long-time startup mentor, is proud to announce that the student-led startup Cultured Care has secured 3rd Place in the Everyday Entrepreneur category at the 2026 Cleantech Challenge/Everyday Entrepreneur (CTC/EE) Finals.

The event, hosted by the Portland State University (PSU) Center for Entrepreneurship, showcased the ingenuity of student innovators across Oregon. Under Peterman's mentorship, Cultured Care successfully navigated the rigorous cohort program to earn a spot on the podium.

"I am incredibly proud of Cultured Care and all the hard work they put into this competition," said Ian Peterman. "Watching these student innovators transform ideas into viable businesses is why I love what I do. It was an honor to mentor them and witness their growth firsthand."

Mr. Peterman also extended his gratitude to the leadership at the PSU Center for Entrepreneurship. "Working with Stacey Hoshimiya is always a highlight of my year. Her dedication to fostering the next generation of entrepreneurs is unparalleled, and I am grateful to her and the entire Center for Entrepreneurship team for inviting me to be a part of this journey."

In addition to Cultured Care's success, Mr. Peterman wishes to congratulate the overall winners, including Shiddie Gear (1st Place Cleantech) and The Final Rose (1st Place Everyday Entrepreneur), as well as EquAirity for receiving the PGE Foundation "Powering Impact" Grand Prize.

As the program moves toward the statewide InventOR competition, Mr. Peterman remains committed to supporting the Portland innovation ecosystem and continuing his partnership with PSU to help student startups scale and succeed.
