Keenethics, a company specializing in machine learning and AI development, decided not to watch from the sidelines. From day one, our team began exploring the ecosystem and created our own ChatGPT App. Building it gave us first-hand insight into how this new distribution model works in practice, and can now share what it means for businesses. ChatGPT Apps are tools that run within the conversation, letting users complete tasks without leaving the platform. They are discovered at the moment of intent, creating a new entry point for businesses and reducing reliance on traditional channels. While exploring use cases, we found people using ChatGPT as a randomizer. However, language models are not truly random and can produce predictable results, which is risky for giveaways and similar scenarios. To solve this, we built a Randomizer ChatGPT App powered by physical entropy, integrating an external randomness source via API. The app generates numbers or selects items from lists directly inside ChatGPT. The app was approved and is now publicly available, giving us practical experience in building and launching ChatGPT Apps. With hands-on experience in developing and publishing ChatGPT Apps, Keenethics is positioned to help companies navigate this new channel.
