COZY-CON: The First Sensory-Friendly Fashion Activation Celebrating Neurodiversity

Los Angeles Experience Centering Neurodiverse Voices During Autism Acceptance Month
By: Go Behavioral

LOS ANGELES - April 3, 2026 - PRLog -- Autism diagnoses in the United States have reached a record high of 1 in 31 children. And yet families, educators, and care providers continue to fall through the cracks. Over 50 percent of mothers of autistic children report depressive symptoms. Burnout among clinicians is climbing at alarming rates. Neurodivergent women are only now being recognized, often after years of misdiagnosis.

Into that gap, Dr. Deena Moustafa, Ph.D., BCBA, is bringing something the world has never seen before.

Cozy Con: the first globally available sensory-friendly fashion activation of its kind. An intimate, invite-only, half-day experience that centers real neurodiverse voices, celebrates sensory-friendly apparel, and generates authentic content by neurodiverse creators. It launches this April 25th in recognition of Autism Acceptance Month and World Autism Awareness Day.

"The true measure of progress is not just skill acquisition. It is joy. Because when a child smiles unprompted, we know we are headed in the right direction."

— Dr. Deena Moustafa, Ph.D., BCBA | Founder, Go Behavioral and Cozyino

Cozy Con is led by Dr. Moustafa, a globally recognized autism care leader, published author, BCBA, and founder of Cozyino, a world-first sensory-friendly apparel brand, and Go Behavioral,  a cross-continental ABA therapy network with teams across California and Florida, and international partnerships in Europe. As an author with over a decade of experience in trauma-aware, culturally responsive, whole-child care, Dr. Moustafa brings clinical precision to every dimension of the event's design, grounded in behavioral science.

Sensory First Design: A Relaxed, Nonlinear Flow
  • Cozy Runway: A slow, seated runway featuring models of all neurotypes and body types in the Cozyino collection. No strobe lights, no loud music.
  • Touch and Try Wall and Build Your No Melt Outfit Workshops: An interactive fabric wall exploring textures, closures, and sensory safe styling, led by creators.
  • Creator Content Block: Dedicated quiet filming corners with ring lights and brand assets where creators produce authentic content on their own terms.
  • Panel Talk - Thought leaders, specialists, and therapists share the transition from awareness to advocacy in neurodiverse spaces.
  • Art Therapy Corner - Design your own t-shirt or hoodie.
  • Sensory Room - a clinic-grade room that supports sensory needs.

The event brings together a curated group of neurodiverse creators, advocates, therapists, thought leaders, and nonprofit voices. Every element of Cozy Con's physical design is co-designed with the neurodiverse community to remove barriers and encourage equal access to sensory-friendly experiences.

GoBehavioural is also hosting a walk in support of Autism Awareness month, as part of the broader campaign initiatives throughout April. For more information, visit - https://gobehavioral.com/
