Matern Staffing Named a 2026 Top Virginia Employer for Interns

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. - April 1, 2026 - PRLog -- Matern Staffing proudly announces being selected as a Top Virginia Employer for Interns for 2026 by The State Council of Higher Education for Virginia (SCHEV). As one of 161 honor recipients, Matern Staffing continues to demonstrate its commitment to fostering student growth and career development.

Since launching its internship program in 2018, Matern Staffing has provided more than 40 students with internships. These experience span fields such as engineering, marketing, business, regulatory affairs, GIS, cybersecurity, environmental science, and staffing. Twenty percent of interns have worked internally at Matern Staffing, while 80% have gained valuable experience with our client partners.

"Through internal internships and contract internships with our client partners, students gain real-world experience across areas like human resources, operations, sales, digital marketing, and entrepreneurship," said Matern. "Students also develop their soft skills, expand their professional networks, and have the opportunity to tackle meaningful business challenges."

Matern Staffing actively recruits students from colleges across Virginia and beyond to participate in its internship program. The agency is especially proud of its strong talent pipeline, with nearly 50% of internal interns invited back for another season or hired into permanent roles.
