Medical Researcher Branislav Ceperkovic Releases Zero-Shot BCI Implementation for Motor Imagery

Open research code and methodology are now publicly available for the neurotechnology research community

March 27, 2026 - PRLog -- Medical researcher Branislav Ceperkovic has released a new open research implementation focused on Zero-Shot Learning approaches for Motor Imagery based Brain-Computer Interfaces (BCI).
The project aims to address one of the key limitations in current BCI systems – the need for subject-specific calibration before practical use. By exploring cross-subject generalization and modern machine learning techniques, the research focuses on developing models that could work with minimal or no calibration.

The full implementation, including the research structure and code, has been made publicly available to support other researchers and students working in the fields of neurotechnology, artificial intelligence, and medical data science.

The work reflects growing interest in making brain-computer interfaces more accessible for real medical and research applications, especially in areas such as neurological rehabilitation and assistive technologies.

Ceperkovic is currently focused on interdisciplinary research combining medicine, artificial intelligence, and health data science, with future research plans aimed at developing practical AI-driven medical technologies.
