A Florida native, Dr. Alvarenga earned her undergraduate degree from the University of South Florida, where she also minored in studio art. She went on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Auburn University, one of the Southeast's most esteemed veterinary institutions. Her clinical interests include surgery, dentistry, internal medicine, and ophthalmology, and she is committed to continuing to grow her skills through mentorship and hands-on experience.

Dr. Alvarenga is bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows her to serve a broader range of families in the Rock Hill community.
