The Happiness Haven Brings Joy, Laughter, and Hope to No Kings 3: IndyLocal Faith Community Invites Attendees to Reclaim Energy and Connection Through Joy
By: The Happiness Haven Exhaustion is their strategy. Joy is ours. Through a blend of somatic practices, movement, and meaningful human connection, The Happiness Haven will offer rally attendees a chance to reconnect with themselves and each other in ways that are both energizing and restorative. Immediately following the opening act, Kris Ratekin, known as The Giggle Gladiator, will lead a dynamic Laughter Yoga experience designed to engage the body, release stress, and spark shared joy across the crowd. Building on that energy, Reverend Doctor Sarah Ratekin will deliver opening remarks centered on positivity, optimism, and the role of joy in sustaining collective action. "Stress and isolation have a way of shrinking people's worlds," said Dr. Ratekin. "Joy is how we push back. It's what keeps us human, keeps us connected, and gives us the courage to not just survive, but thrive." The Happiness Haven is also hosting a community table in the event's Healing Village, where attendees can engage more deeply with simple, practical ways to build resilience and stay grounded in challenging times. Featured Offering: Postcards of Joy, an interactive act of kindness designed to extend the spirit of the event far beyond the Statehouse. Participants are invited to bring a message and a mailing address for someone they care about. The Happiness Haven will provide the postcards and stamps, sending each note as a tangible reminder of connection, appreciation, and shared humanity. About The Happiness Haven The Happiness Haven is a community-centered wellbeing initiative focused on fostering gratitude, connection, personal growth, service, and joyful presence through accessible, real-world practices that help people navigate both everyday stress and life's bigger challenges by building and nurturing strong connections.
