RICHMOND, Ky. - March 23, 2026 - PRLog -- She Couldn't Last 15 Minutes in Zumba. Now She's 50 Episodes Deep, and Giving Back.

RICHMOND, KY, March 2026
— When Ashley Grant walked into her first Zumba class in August 2023, she made it 15 minutes before she had to leave. She couldn't do a jumping jack, hold a plank, or lift more than 5-pound dumbbells. Today, she's 500-plus group fitness classes in, 26 pounds lighter, and lifting 15 and 20-pound dumbbells regularly. She has documented every step of that journey on her fitness podcast, More Movement Please, recorded mostly from the front seat of her car. This month, the show hit 50 episodes.

The milestone carries extra weight. Episodes 48, 49, and 50 were recorded as part of Podcasthon, now in its fourth global edition, where thousands of podcasters dedicate a week of episodes to raising awareness for a charity of their choice. Grant spotlighted the Humane Society Animal League for Life of Madison County, Kentucky, nominated by her own fitness instructor, Rhonda Goode, the woman she credits with changing her life. When Goode's nomination won the random draw, Grant called it a sign from the universe.

The three-part series features Goode in a candid, extended interview covering 14 years of teaching, what she reads in a room within 60 seconds, and what she would say to anyone standing at the crossroads of change. A former dancer whose love of movement was interrupted by a car accident, Grant found her way back through Zumba at the Telford YMCA in Richmond. In her first 100 days of serious commitment, she completed 200 classes, turned 41, and celebrated with five classes in a single day.

"I couldn't make it through 15 minutes of Zumba," said Grant. "Now I take up to 12 classes a week or more. This wasn't a fitness challenge. It was a lifestyle change, and it's forever changed my life."

All three Podcasthon episodes are available now, with a direct donation link to the Humane Society Animal League for Life of Madison County in the show notes.
