Jimmy & Scots Folk Band Celebrates St. Patrick's Day 2026 with Three New Single Tracks

With over 100,000 monthly listeners on Spotify and several tracks surpassing one million streams, Jimmy & Scots Folk Band return with a powerful trilogy of singles released in the weeks leading up to St. Patrick's Day 2026.

VERONA, Italy - March 11, 2026 - PRLog -- The three tracks — Same Ol' Shite (February 13), The Cursed Rover (ROW ROW ROW!) (February 27), and Boston Girl (March 13) — mark a new chapter for the Italian Celtic powerhouse, once again released under the label Maxy Sound.
Born as a duo and evolved into a five-piece band, Jimmy & Scots Folk Band have become a prominent presence at major Celtic festivals across Italy, including the renowned Montelago Celtic Festival. Their artistic journey has steadily gained international recognition: from the self-produced debut No Man's Tales (2019) to Seven Irish Nights (2023), which earned awards at the MC Music Awards and was included in the prestigious Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin. In 2024, as the album surpassed one million streams, the band released the concept EP The Viking Irishman, later followed by 2025's Beers and Reels, both archived in Dublin's world-leading Irish Traditional Music Archive.

A Trilogy for St. Patrick's Season

Same Ol' Shite explodes like a bolt from the blue: roaring cello collides with bright banjo and mandolin lines to ignite a modern Celtic folk punk anthem packed with raw energy. Driven by an unstoppable rhythm section and explosive singalong choruses, the track captures the urgency and anxiety of a generation shaped by pressure and broken promises.

The Cursed Rover (ROW ROW ROW!) transforms from sea shanty to dark, drunken sequel to the traditional ballad The Irish Rover. Set in 1813, it tells of a shipwrecked crew risen from the deep and condemned to row forever. Featuring pounding drums, haunting cello and gang vocals, it is a roaring pirate folk anthem built around an irresistible shout-along chorus destined for sea shanty playlists worldwide.

Closing the trilogy, Boston Girl (out March 13) reveals the band's more intimate side. This nostalgic folk ballad tells the story of an Irish-American girl who emigrated from Galway to Boston, and a love born beneath the neon dock lights. Melodic cello, tin whistle, acoustic guitar and arpeggiated mandolin weave together, while heartfelt vocals rise into an emotional "Way hey" chorus, blending Irish roots with a modern singer-songwriter feel.
With this triple release, Jimmy & Scots Folk Band reaffirm their mission: to bridge Celtic and Norse traditions through original compositions and powerful arrangements, bringing ancient stories and modern emotions to international audiences just in time for St. Patrick's Day celebrations.
