Witness the Extraordinary World Nomad Games in Kyrgyzstan

BASINGSTOKE, U.K. - March 5, 2026 - PRLog -- A million miles away from the recent Winter Olympics, are the extraordinary World Nomad Games, which will take place in Kyrgyzstan from 31 August to 6 September this year.

The opening ceremony of these bi-annual games will take place on 31 August, with the games running from 2-5 September, and the closing ceremony on 6 September.

Generally regarded as the Olympics of Central Asia – instead of traditional events such as cycling and track & field – there's horseback wrestling, and Kok Boru - a horseback game which uses a dead goat carcass instead of a ball!

Other events include a tug-o-war, sumo, horseback archery, and another traditional Central Asian activity, falconry.
