International Uranium Film Festival Announces 2026 LineupThis year's lineup of films includes submissions from Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Greenland, Spain, Sweden, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Ukraine and USA. With 10 films, US productions are the most represented this year. Beside of Brazil further festival screenings are scheduled in USA and Germany. Already in April the Chicago International Uranium Film Festival is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, to coincide with the 40th anniversary of the Chernobyl disaster. It will be held April 24-26, at DePaul University, Lincoln Park Campus. „As in the years before we plan also festivals in Window Rock, Las Vegas and Los Angeles with a selection of the best films", says festival director Norbert Suchanek. „However we still need sponsors or donors in the US to these cities in our festival circuit 2026." The International Uranium Film Festival (IUFF) was founded in 2010 and is dedicated to films of all genres addressing topics related to nuclear energy and radioactivity. It intends to create public awareness about the hazards of nuclear weapons, power and waste; and to giving voice and space to those peoples directly affected by the hazards of the Nuclear Age; and to stimulate new film productions on this topic. Since its first edition in Hollywood in 2016, the IUFF has also been known as the Atomic Age Cinema Fest. In 2024, it was named one of „The 25 Coolest Film Festivals in the World" by the renowned MovieMaker Magazine in Hollywood, and in 2025 the founders of the festival received the prestigious Nuclear-Free Future Award in the education category in New York City. The festival's success depends on donations and support from individuals around the globe. Website: www.uraniumfilmfestival.org Festival LineUp / Catalog https://uraniumfilmfestival.org/ End
