Trans ACNR Dispatches Advanced Roof Mounted Packaged Units (RMPUs) for LHB Coaches to MCF Raebareli

NEW DELHI - Feb. 24, 2026 - PRLog -- Trans ACNR Solutions Private Limited announces the successful dispatch and delivery of a new lot of Roof Mounted Packaged Units (RMPUs) for Linke-Hofmann-Busch (LHB) passenger coaches to Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli. The consignment has been unloaded and integrated into the production line, supporting ongoing coach manufacturing programmes.

India operates one of the largest railway networks in the world, spanning over 68,000 route kilometres and serving diverse climatic zones ranging from extreme summer temperatures exceeding 45°C to cold winter conditions in northern regions. In such an operating environment, railway HVAC systems are mission-critical infrastructure components that must deliver continuous performance under sustained thermal stress, vibration exposure, fluctuating humidity, and high passenger density.

Trans ACNR's RMPUs for LHB coaches are engineered in accordance with Research Designs and Standards Organisation (RDSO) specifications. Each LHB coach is equipped with two 7.0 TR RMPUs, providing a total cooling capacity of 14.0 TR per coach. The system is designed to maintain interior temperatures between 20°C and 25°C under summer operating conditions.

The RMPUs incorporate dual refrigeration circuits with hermetically sealed scroll compressors, microprocessor-based control with real-time diagnostics, humidity management, and integrated protection systems including HP/LP cut-outs, overheat protection, and ESTI safeguards. These features support high reliability, optimised energy performance, and safe operation across Self Generating (SG), End On Generation (EOG), and Head On Generation (HOG) configurations.
