Manufacturer offers support as UK councils prepare polling stations within shortened timetable

WEST BROMWICH, U.K. - Feb. 18, 2026 - PRLog -- Industry bodies have warned councils are now working to recover lost preparation time, with election staff needing to catch up on months of planning before polling day.

During Covid Wrights Plastics developed a unique polling booth that offered social distancing and ease of sanitisation. Since then, their lightweight flatpack construction has proved popular with local authorities, educational establishment, event organisers – even international Embassies!

The company has set aside capacity at their West Bromwich factory to meet demand from local authorities who now find thy may need to update or add to their stock of polling booths in time for the May 7^th elections.
