EnergyStrat Consulting issues Global FID Outlook covering 2026 project sanctions

HOUSTON - Feb. 18, 2026 - PRLog -- EnergyStrat Consulting has published its Global FID Outlook 2026, a project-level assessment of large global energy and infrastructure developments targeting final investment decision (FID) in 2026.

The report applies a probability-weighted framework across LNG, upstream oil & gas, refining, power and transmission, hydrogen, and CCUS to distinguish between announced pipelines and projects realistically positioned to sanction.

Of the USD 160–175 billion of projects publicly targeting FID in 2026, EnergyStrat's analysis indicates that only around 25% is positioned to reach FID on a high-probability basis, with a further 20–25% conditional on financing, EPC readiness, and risk allocation.

The report highlights growing divergence between announcements and execution, increasing concentration of EPC value, and the rising importance of sponsor decisiveness in determining outcomes.
