Saudi Arabia officially begins issuing Hajj 2026 visas on Feb 8, four months ahead of the season. With 750k registrations and 100% of Makkah contracts ready on Nusuk, the early launch ensures a seamless journey for the 1447 AH pilgrimage.

Feb. 8, 2026 - PRLog -- The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has officially announced the commencement of visa issuance for the Hajj 1447 AH (2026) season, starting today, February 8, 2026 (Sha'ban 20, 1447).

In a historic move aligned with Saudi Vision 2030, the issuance process has begun nearly four months ahead of the pilgrimage rituals. This accelerated timeline is designed to maximise service readiness, streamline global logistics, and ensure a seamless spiritual journey for the millions of pilgrims expected to arrive in the Kingdom.

Strategic Milestones & Progress:
  • Massive Global Interest: To date, over 750,000 pilgrims have already registered for the upcoming season.
  • Service Readiness: The Ministry confirms that 100% of service contracts for international pilgrims at the Holy Sites have been finalised.
  • Infrastructure Allocation: Approximately 485 camps have been prepared and allocated for international pilgrims in Mina and Arafat.
  • Digital Integration: All accommodation contracts in Makkah have been fully integrated and finalised through the Nusuk Masar platform, ensuring transparency and efficiency in the booking process.

Early Arrival Timeline: With visa issuance now active, the Ministry anticipates the first groups of Hajj pilgrims to arrive in Saudi Arabia starting April 18, 2026 (Dhu al-Qi'dah 1, 1447 AH). This early window allows Hajj affairs offices worldwide to finalise group formations and submit medical data well in advance of the peak season.

Guidance for Pilgrims: The Ministry urges all prospective pilgrims and Hajj affairs offices to adhere strictly to the operational calendar. Pilgrims are encouraged to monitor the Nusuk platform for real-time updates on application status and available slots. The Ministry also highlights that the early issuance will significantly reduce the "last-minute rush," allowing authorities to focus on high-quality crowd management and pilgrim comfort.

As the Kingdom prepares to host the world, today's launch of the visa portal marks the beginning of the final operational phase for Hajj 2026.
