ATLANTA - Feb. 6, 2026 - PRLog -- From Veterans for America First:

Veterans for America First (VFAF) announces an interview featuring DHS / ICE Attorney Evan Draim in discussion with VFAF National Ambassador Shayne Snavely, a U.S. Army veteran of the 101st Airborne Division and Vice President of the VFAF Virginia State Chapter. Snavely is also widely recognized as part of the original 2015 Veterans for Trump grassroots movement, representing early veteran-led support networks that helped shape the national political landscape.

Evan Draim is an ICE attorney serving in Georgia through ICE's Atlanta-based legal operation. In that capacity, he functions within the Office of the Principal Legal Advisor (OPLA)—the ICE legal office that supports enforcement operations and represents ICE in immigration-related litigation. Draim has also appeared publicly as a speaker in local Georgia civic and political settings, including as a featured speaker identified as "ICE Attorney Evan Draim" at the Paulding County GOP in January 2021, where he addressed Trump administration policy.

ICE's Georgia-area operations are run through the Atlanta Field Office, which lists its area of responsibility as Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. Per ICE's Atlanta Field Office description, Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) officers uphold U.S. immigration laws by focusing enforcement attention on individuals who present the greatest risk to national security, public safety, and border security. Practically, that mission includes field enforcement activities (apprehension and processing), custody and detention coordination, and execution of removals under federal immigration law, consistent with ERO's national operational framework.

Because the Atlanta Field Office covers Georgia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, its work typically includes: enforcement and removal operations (locating, arresting, detaining, and removing removable noncitizens); detention and case processing support within the area of responsibility; and supervision and check-ins for individuals on ICE supervision within Georgia.

As an ICE attorney operating through OPLA Atlanta, Draim's work aligns with OPLA's core functions for the Georgia / North Carolina / South Carolina region. These responsibilities include representing ICE in administrative immigration litigation, including immigration court (EOIR) matters; providing legal advice to ICE officers and personnel supporting enforcement, detention, and operational decision-making; and serving as the legal interface for immigration-court-related issues, coordinating case posture and legal positions with the appropriate field components.

During the 2022–2023 timeframe, VFAF maintained an active Advisory Board that included Tom Homan, reflecting the organization's public emphasis on border security, lawful immigration enforcement, and law-enforcement aligned policy advocacy.
