| Suffolk, Tobler Construction to host construction-industry hiring event Feb. 11By: Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers The job fair is designed for low-income residents who are interested in pursuing careers in the construction industry. Partners will be hiring for positions tied to current and future work on Dunbar Choice Neighborhood site, providing attendees with direct access to local job opportunities. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet employers directly, learn about open positions and career pathways in the trades and take the next step toward employment close to home. Participating employers for this event include Suffolk, Tobler Construction, Crown Roofing & Waterproofing, Extreme Florida Roofing, JJB South, MTD Painting & Construction, EMI Construction, Southwest Construction Services and R.T. Moore Co. Suffolk is currently partnering with Tobler on the Legacy Point project in Fort Myers. "Together with Suffolk and Tobler Construction, we believe that when we invest in hiring local, we strengthen the communities we serve," said Marcia Davis, executive director of the Housing Authority of the City of Fort Myers. "By empowering residents to help build affordable housing, we're giving them the opportunity to make a difference and build something our community can be proud of."
