KOLTIVA Pioneers AI-Powered Food Supply Chain Visibility for Smallholder Farmers

JAKARTA SELATAN, Indonesia - Feb. 4, 2026 - PRLog -- Koltiva, a Swiss-Indonesian AgriTech company operating in 94 countries and supporting over 19,000 businesses, is launching an AI-powered traceability initiative to strengthen global agribusiness supply chains. The first pilot will be implemented with SUGATA PTE. LTD, a sustainability-driven coffee and cocoa supplier in Aceh, Indonesia, introducing one of the region's first AI-enabled traceability models for responsible sourcing. The project is developed under the AI Apprenticeship Programme for Industry (AIAP for Industry) led by AI Singapore, bringing national-level AI expertise into agricultural supply chain transparency.

The initiative responds to increasing global regulatory pressure, including the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR), U.S. FSMA, and Europe's CSRD and CSDDD. As compliance and disclosure expectations rise, generating accurate and verifiable sustainability data has become critical, particularly for smallholder-based supply chains. By embedding advanced AI into its digital ecosystem, Koltiva is expanding traceability and sustainability intelligence capabilities that help companies shift from manual reporting to continuous, data-driven oversight of environmental and social performance. Leveraging AI Singapore's technical framework, the collaboration focuses on sustainability risk management, field operations, and fair finance.

Joe Keen Poon, Executive Chairman of the Board at Koltiva, said, "By leveraging Singapore's AI leadership, we are empowering smallholder farmers across 94 countries to navigate complex global regulations through intelligent, data-driven supply chains." As demand for transparency grows, AI-enabled traceability is emerging as a practical tool for building more inclusive and resilient food systems.

Operationally, the collaboration enhances sustainability monitoring and field management through predictive analytics and automated reporting embedded within KoltiTrace. Real-time climate, yield, and compliance monitoring, along with AI-generated sustainability reports and automated ESG documentation, allow agribusinesses to move from reactive compliance to proactive, verifiable climate action. AI tools also support agronomists and project managers with profitability analytics, contract intelligence, and risk dashboards, ensuring field decisions remain adaptive and data-informed.

Laurence Liew, Director of AI Innovation at AI Singapore, added, "Through the AIAP for Industry, we are advancing industry-ready AI solutions that strengthen sustainability and resilience across agribusiness supply chains while developing local AI talent." SUGATA, as the first KOLTIVA's client to pilot these AI solutions within its cocoa and coffee sourcing operations in Indonesia, integrates full-farm mapping, training, and coaching for producers, as well as premium payments tied to sustainable practices. Furqonudin Ramadhani, CTO and Co-Founder of Koltiva, noted, "We are co-developing an AI-generated sustainability and compliance reporting platform with integrated data quality monitoring to automate ESG and due-diligence processes while continuously validating field and transaction data."
