igus changes its legal form to SE & Co. KG and sets the course for further growth

SINGAPORE - Feb. 4, 2026 - PRLog -- igus, the specialist for motion plastics, has announced an important milestone in its corporate development. The company will now operate under the name igus SE & Co. KG, a structure that aligns its international growth strategy with clear governance and long‑term stability. As part of the transition, Artur Peplinski will serve as management spokesperson.

The new legal form combines the international orientation of a European Corporation (SE) with the agility of a limited partnership (KG). This evolution supports closer collaboration between company management and the newly established Board, chaired by Frank Blase. Stepping back from day‑to‑day operations for personal family‑related reasons, Blase will focus on new ventures and strategic guidance in his role as Chairman.

Operational leadership remains with the company's four experienced CEOs:

• Michael Blass – Energy Chain Systems
• Tobias Vogel – Plain Bearing and Linear Technology
• Dr. Thilo Schultes – Global Operations
• Artur Peplinski – igus International & Low Cost Automation

Alongside the structural change, igus is increasing its liable capital from €5 million to €20 million, underscoring the company's financial strength and commitment to long‑term security for customers and partners. In October 2025, igus also acquired a 22,000 m² site adjoining its Cologne campus, enabling future expansion and direct connection to a new multi‑storey facility.
