Study Finds Large Gaps in Tennis Courts per Capita Across European Countries

BUCHAREST, Romania - Feb. 4, 2026 - PRLog -- TennisDex has published a new data-driven study analyzing the availability of tennis courts per capita across European countries, revealing significant differences in access to tennis infrastructure depending on location.

The study, titled "Tennis Courts per Capita in Europe," is based on more than six months of continuous data collection, structuring, and validation carried out by TennisDex. It examines the number of tennis courts relative to population size across multiple European markets, offering a standardized way to compare infrastructure availability between countries.

According to the analysis, some European countries provide substantially higher access to tennis facilities per capita than others, reflecting differences in national investment, urban planning, and sports development models. These disparities can have a direct impact on player participation, development pathways, and the accessibility of tennis at recreational and competitive levels.

Unlike anecdotal comparisons or fragmented reports, the TennisDex study is built on a structured dataset that allows consistent cross-country analysis. The methodology is designed to support transparency and repeatability, enabling parents, players, coaches, and researchers to better understand how tennis infrastructure varies across Europe.
