DONG GUAN, China - Jan. 28, 2026 - PRLog -- A mid-sized EMS provider serving automotive clients recently commissioned an SMT line tailored for advanced driver assistance systems. The project focused on handling 0.35–0.4 mm pitch components, multilayer power designs, and extended lifecycle demands under extreme conditions.

Key elements include I.C.T printers with closed-loop SPI integration, high-accuracy placement systems, and 10–12 zone reflow ovens designed for uniform heating on heavy copper boards. Inspection stations—SPI, 3D AOI, selective X-ray—connect to MES, enabling proactive adjustments.

I.C.T engineers provided comprehensive installation, training, and initial profile tuning, ensuring staff could maintain process Cpk >1.67. Post-implementation data showed reduced voiding, fewer bridging incidents, and improved performance in thermal cycling and vibration tests.

The setup accommodates high-mix/low-volume development alongside steady production, with scalable software and hardware for upgrades. Traceability meets IATF requirements, supporting root-cause analysis and customer audits.
