Whatever the UK government decides, there are other reasons why it pays for food businesses to be proactive in removing BPAs from their packaging. The importance of choosing BPA-free packaging BPAs can potentially leach into foods, particularly at higher temperatures. This is of concern because research suggests that BPAs can interfere with endocrine disruptors affecting the reproductive system, immune system and foetal development.
