DABAL, India - Jan. 18, 2026 - PRLog -- OURO, meaning "gold" in Portuguese, is a farm-to-bottle masterpiece that embodies the true spirit of artisanal production. The name OURO is a play on the golden colour of the drink, as well as it's exceptional quality. Each batch is meticulously handcrafted using organic cashew fruit cultivated at Dudhsagar Plantation, the family's award winning estate in South Goa, ensuring the finest quality and a distinct flavor profile.

OURO is smooth, it's tropical fruit base accentuated by local spices. The resulting christmassy bouquet is a deliberate departure from classic Cashew Feni, making it accessible to a wider audience. "Most of our guests are fairly skeptical about Feni, but positively surprised after tasting OURO" says Ashok Malkarnekar, founder of OURO and host at Dudhsagar Plantation. He continues "I vividly remember my grandfather distilling on a copper pot still - we are proud to carry forth our time honored methods and do our part to preserve Goa's cultural traditions".

Goa Heritage Distillery not only boasts a rich distilling legacy but also has deep agricultural ties. The Malkarnekars have been farming for generations, and their estate provides an excellent environment for growing the high quality ingredients required to produce OURO. Cashew cultivation here follows natural farming principles, using minimum interventions, totally free from chemicals.

During the cashew season, guests are invited to partake in a captivating Cashew Trail Experience. From harvest to stomping the fruits and distillation, visitors gain firsthand insights into the journey that culminates in the creation of this extraordinary spirit.
