CHICAGO - Jan. 8, 2026 - PRLog -- Who: LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame, dedicated to honoring the achievements and contributions of LGBTQ athletes, coaches, advocates, and sports enthusiasts in the world of sports, was founded at the Center on Halsted in 2013 and is coming home to announce this year's honorees. The group's mission is to celebrate diversity, promote inclusion, and inspire future generations by recognizing the courage, talent, and perseverance of LGBTQ individuals who have broken barriers and made a lasting impact on the sporting community. Through education, advocacy, and celebration, we strive to create a more inclusive and equitable sporting landscape where every athlete can thrive authentically, inclusive of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression.

What: Press conference to announce the honorees selected to be inducted into the LGBTQ Sports Hall of Fame at a celebration gala in New York City on June 25, 2026.

When: 11:00 am on January 20, 2026

Where: Center on Halsted 3656 N. Halsted St. Chicago, IL 60613
