He credits his experience as the on-field organiser as the perfect preparation for steering complex business operations, "I was the fly-half and did all the organising, which makes a lot of sense given what I do now," says Lancaster. "In operations, you are the link between staff and leadership strategy, ensuring productivity and profitability through teamwork."
