Jazz Vocalist Eugenie Jones Brings Her Women In Jazz Tour to Seattle on March 27

SEATTLE - Jan. 7, 2026 - PRLog -- On March 27th, jazz singer-songwriter Eugenie Jones brings her  Women in Jazz Month Tour to Seattle's favored jazz venue – The Royal Room, 5000 Rainier Avenue S, Seattle 98118. The tour joins March's global celebration of women's contributions to jazz and the trailblazers like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald, who helped define the genre. The tour will also make stops at The Velvet Note in Atlanta, Mr. Tipple's in San Francisco, and Dazzle Jazz Club in Denver, CO.

Jones' Royal Room Seattle performance will include her unique stylings of jazz, emotively-infused jazz originals and pleasantly surprising soul classics, featuring Peter Adams on piano, Osama Afifi on bass and Maria Wulff on drums.

A captivating Seattle-based entertainer, renown for her distinctive "smoke & satin" vocals, electric stage presence, and emotionally resonant songwriting, Jones' live performances weave together inventive takes on vintage jazz, soulful jazz originals, and classic rhythm and blues. Her artistry has drawn praise from across the globe. Thierry De Clemensat of Paris Move Magazine called her "one of the most beautiful voices in the United States, part of that lineage of vocalists in jazz who dazzle with their sheer talent, elevating everything they touch." George Kanzler of New York's Hot House Jazz Magazine wrote of her latest album, EUGENIE, "With a warm, husky vibrato, the range of material she convincingly and comfortably covers is striking."

Jones's songwriting has been compared to that of Abbey Lincoln and Nina Simone. She has written and recorded more than 30 original jazz compositions. Her album EUGENIE remained on JazzWeek's Top 50 charts for 25 weeks, reaching number four, and was included on KUVO's Best Albums of 2025 list. She has received Earshot Jazz's Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year awards, as well as the Jazz Journalists Association's Jazz Hero Award. "Women in jazz have always been powerful storytellers, and today, their voices are more vital than ever," says Jones. "As we celebrate Women in Jazz Month and Women's History Month, we honor their past contributions and strive to continue breaking boundaries."

Reggie Workman, former John Coltrane bassist and NEA Jazz Master, adds, "This is an extraordinary singer, songwriter, and a source of light we are fortunate to experience."
