Tranmere Fans Treated with Disrespect Over Sale Update Announcement

BIRKENHEAD, U.K. - Dec. 20, 2025 - PRLog -- This week Tranmere owner Mark Palios chose to announce the latest on the sale of the club on a pro-Everton podcast. The annoyed fans are about to show their distain for this decision in a protest.

For the last two year the Tranmere takeover has had more on-offs than a light switch. Rumours that unreasonable demands are doing the rounds, it would be useful for Mark Palios to address this rumour, but not on a third party podcast, he needs to address the Tranmere fans urgently.

Tranmere as a club needs a refresh, it feels like they are falling back into the abyss, if it wasn't for other clubs who are even worse on the pitch they'd be in deep relegation trouble again. The recruitment is awful, injury prone players, long contracts for players who really don't have the ability to be a Tranmere player. With players who are ending their careers too, the Rovers fans are rightly questioning who makes these decisions.

I don't need to go on, it's very very simple, Mark Palios needs to face the Tranmere fans now and explain what has been going on with the sale. I personally know he wants to retire, but he finds himself looking at being in charge of another transfer window, will anything change with recruitment or are Tranmere heading back out this EFL.

i have also seen absolute evidence from a trusted source that Mark's demands to a bidder were the cause of them pulling out. This is one of several sales that have fallen through over the last two years..

The last two games have shown the fragility of the side, yes they've scored goals this season but they've let in 7 in two games, including a 3–1 loss to 10 man Oldham, embarrassed by former boss Micky Mellon….again.

So come on Mark, you know you need to do this, if you don't then expect protests. No more delays, no more bad decisions, no more failed deadlines (Q1, Summer, Christmas all failed). Be realistic and please tell us the truth and tell it to our faces. We spend a lot of money following the club, we give them such support but we've been let down by what happened this week.
