ALU-IBT Dream Team Slate Urges JFK8 Workers to Vote as Election Enters Final Days!

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. - Dec. 18, 2025 - PRLog -- With in-person voting underway at the Amazon JFK8 facility's bus stop through December 21, the Dream Team Slate – a grassroots coalition of rank-and-file ALU-IBT leaders – is calling on co-workers to turn out in force for a leadership team committed to winning a strong first contract. Dr. Brima voted on December 16, "Yes! I am voting for a dynamic leadership  to represent the interests  of workers."

The Dream Team Slate, running for ALU-IBT Executive Board and Trustee positions, consists entirely of current JFK8 workers who played key roles in the historic 2022 union victory:

Executive Board:

• Dr. Brima Sylla, President: Multilingual organizer central to immigrant worker outreach in the 2022 win; current vice-president with a focus on inclusive leadership.
• Djemel Allaoui, Vice-President: Experienced shop steward known for action and deep union knowledge.
• Pasquale Pcioffi, Recording Secretary: Chief shop steward instrumental in the 2022 campaign.
• Mokhtaria Houdari, Recording Treasurer: Expert in finance with national and international business experience.

Trustee Officers:

• Anthony Grant, Trustee: Shop steward with proven union experience.
• Rafik Ghanem, Trustee: Legal discipline paired with union expertise.
• Assie Jalloh, Trustee: Dedicated shop steward.

The slate emphasizes their pioneering contributions: securing the union hall, advancing diversity and public support, training workers, partnering with national and international unions, handling grievances (including false write-ups and accommodations), advocating through rallies and "mass on the boss" actions, and distributing union literature in breakrooms. Looking ahead, the Dream Team outlines bold future plans:
