Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio Launches Accents & Dialects Course to Help Actors Expand Their Range

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 16, 2025 - PRLog -- Elizabeth Mestnik Acting Studio (EMAS) announces a new Accents & Dialects for Actors course beginning January 20, 2026. The 10-week workshop is designed to help actors at all levels build confidence and versatility by mastering three of the most commonly requested dialects in the entertainment industry: British (RP & Contemporary), New York, and American Southern.

As casting directors increasingly seek actors who bring specificity and authenticity to their roles, dialect proficiency has become a competitive advantage. This course addresses that demand by combining technical vocal training with practical, on-your-feet application.

What Participants Will Learn:

Students will gain practical vocal tools including the signature sounds, rhythm, placement, and musicality of each dialect. The workshop emphasizes instinctive, sustainable skills through work with sides, improv prompts, and character exploration. Participants will also leave with a toolkit of IPA basics, vocal warm-ups, sound-shifts, and practice techniques applicable to any future dialect work.
